Dr. Girish Pai K. is currently working as faculty in the Department of Pharmaceutics, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). He has 12 years of teaching experience in Academia & 10 years of professional experience in leading pharmaceutical industries handling Quality Assurance, Formulation development & Manufacturing operations (conventional & specialty/proprietary dosage forms) pertaining to various pharmaceutical products specialised in dry powder injectables.
Dr. Pai completed his Bachelor’s, Master’s & Ph.D studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences from MCOPS, MAHE. Prior to joining MCOPS in 2010, he has worked for AstraZeneca Pharma (India), Orchid Healthcare (India), Neopharma LLC (Abu Dhabi, UAE) and CFL Pharmaceuticals Ltd (India).
Dr. Pai has presented 26 research papers in reputed International & National conferences, attended 20 workshops, authored 65 research publications in peer-reviewed international journals and editor of illustrious book, “Pharmaceutical Consumer Complaints: A guide to Academia and Pharmaceutical Industry”. He has received few awards for research publications and in conferences for scientific poster presentations.
Dr. Pai was responsible for collaborating with India’s first digital healthcare exchange company, Nerve24 Technologies Private Ltd, Mumbai. Dr. Pai is the Principal Investigator and Guide for Nerve24 sponsored Ph.D program. Dr Pai is also serving as Visiting Professor at Pharma Training Institute, Bengaluru which is under the aegis of Karnataka Pharmaceutical Trust. Dr. Pai is Coordinator for Centre for current Good Manufacturing Practices at MAHE. Dr Pai had organized a two-day National workshop on cGMP, Compliance and Data integrity in the year 2018.
Dr. Pai was responsible for implementation of GMP systems, handling Quality Assurance, Audits & Compliance and has successfully handled International regulatory audits of agencies like USFDA, EUGMP, UKMHRA, Australian TGA, CDSCO etc. during his professional stint with pharmaceutical industries. Dr. Pai was a certified internal “Quality Auditor” in Orchid Healthcare for the conduct of internal Quality audits and Vendor audits. He has guided PG students of Sri Ramachandra University and Annamalai University while serving as Deputy Manager – Quality Assurance in Orchid Healthcare, Chennai. Dr. Pai has also received Certificate of Appreciation for his excellent contributions made in the field of Quality from pharmaceutical companies namely, Neopharma, Orchid Healthcare and AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited.
Dr Muddukrishna B.S.: Is Associate Professor in Department of Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal. He teaches pharmaceutical analysis to undergraduate students and pharmaceutical quality assurance and management to post-graduate students of Pharmacy.
He has 21+ years of total experience in Academics, Research & Development, Laboratory Operations & Quality Assurance in organizations of high repute.
He is the co-editor of the illustrious book “Pharmaceutical Consumer Complaints: A guide to Academia and the Pharmaceutical Industry. He has published several papers in journals of high repute and has presented papers in national and international conferences.
Dr. Girish Thunga is currently working as an Assistant Professor - Selection Grade in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS), Manipal Academy of Higher Education. He has 14 years of teaching experience in academia & 3 years of experience as a Hospital Pharmacist handling inventory control and patient counselling.
Dr. Thunga completed his Bachelor’s, Master’s & Ph.D studies from MCOPS, MAHE, Manipal. Prior to joining MCOPS in 2008, he worked as a Hospital Pharmacist in Udupi.
Dr. Thunga has presented 55 research papers in reputed International & National conferences and authored 70 research publications in peer-reviewed journals and 10 book chapters. He has received more than 5 travelling grants and 5 Best Paper awards in conferences for scientific paper presentations. He has received four ICMR research projects and two International grants. He has developed 3 products in association with the Industry in various sectors of healthcare. He has two collaborative Ph.D programmes with two International Universities (Griffith and Sydney). Dr. Thunga is also serving as reviewer for many reputed journals like PLOS and Human experimental toxicology.
During his academic tenure, Dr. Thunga has successfully executed several collaborative projects with reputed pharmaceutical industries like Sun Pharma, Magna Health Care Pvt. Ltd, Novartis and Astra Zeneca. Dr. Thunga is also an active member of Training and placement assistance center at MCOPS.
Till date, Dr. Thunga has successfully coordinated three clinical trials including one global trial. Dr. Thunga is also the Secretary of PSUR (Periodic Safety Update Report) committee of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal. He has coordinated more than 3 workshops and one conference as the organizing secretary. He is actively training hospital pharmacists and other health care professionals and has participated in training programmes conducted by Cipla, Pfizer and GSK.
Dr. Thunga guided more than 20 postgraduate students and is presently guiding 8 doctoral students in their research. Presently Dr.Thunga has 3 industry-academic collaborations especially focusing on the development of health-care related softwares and training modules.
Dr. Aravinda Pai is currently working as faculty in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). He has 13 years of teaching experience in Academia & 3 years of professional experience in leading pharmaceutical industries as product specialist in cardio-diabetic segment.
Dr. Pai completed his Bachelor’s, Master’s & Ph.D. studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences from MCOPS, MAHE. Prior to joining MCOPS in 2010, he has worked for Srinivas College of Pharmacy and Karavali College of Pharmacy, Mangalore. After completion of his undergraduate education (B.Pharm), Dr Pai worked for leading Pharmaceutical majors, namely Torrent Pharmaceutical Ltd and INTAS Pharmaceutical Ltd Ahmedabad, India.
Dr. Pai has presented 12 research papers in reputed International & National conferences, attended 5 workshops, and authored 50 research publications in peer-reviewed international journals.

Qualified GATE (Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering) conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 2005. Received scholarship from MHRD for perusing Master of Pharmacy for 2 years.

Dr. Vasudev R Pai. is currently working as Assistant Professor, Senior Scale in the Department of Pharmacognosy, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). He has 12 years of teaching experience in Academia.
Dr. Vasudev Pai completed his Diploma and Bachelor’s, from Soniya Education Trust's College of Pharmacy, Dharwad and Master’s from KLE College of Pharmacy – Hubballi & Ph.D from MCOPS, MAHE. Prior to joining MCOPS in 2011, he worked as Lecturer at Sarada Vilas Pharmacy College, Mysore for two years.
Dr. Pai has presented 17 research papers in reputed International & National conferences. He has attended 12 workshops, authored 28 research publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals. He has guided several UG and PG research projects.
Dr. Pai visited various countries like Dubai, Indonesia, Srilanka, Thailand and presented research papers and won two Best professional poster awards till date.
Dr. Pai is a certified internal Auditor for the conduct of internal ISO audits within the Institution. Dr Pai is also serving as Sports Advisor for MCOPS, MAHE.
Dr. Pai is involved in herbal drug research and herbal product development. His area of interest is neuropharmacology, ethnobotany and ethno pharmacology, phytochemistry, in-vitro and in-vivo screening of herbal drugs, standardization of herbal drugs and HPTLC quantification.
Dr. Pai has more than 10 years of research experience and guided various UG and PG projects. Few unique projects include development of polyherbal mosquito repellent incense sticks, polyherbal lozenges for cold and flu, development of polyherbal enteric coated tablets for constipation and polyherbal hand wash etc.
Mr. Ravindra Shenoy U is an Assistant Professor-Sr. scale at Department of Commerce, MAHE, Manipal, His research interests include Ethical leadership, Spirituality in leadership, Indology, Vedic Management, Business Ethics and Consumer Behaviour. He has worked with corporates including Tata Group, Gillette India and ICFAI. Mr. Shenoy has published 5 research papers and 3 book chapters and has presented research papers in many National and International conferences. Being a corporate soft skills trainer certified by TCS, he has conducted more than 55 workshops on soft skills for both students and corporate audience. Mr. Shenoy is also a member of few prestigious international bodies including Association of Leadership Educators, Council for Research in Values and Philosophy, Harvard Business Review Advisory Council , The Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, and Advisory Committee at ISOL(Integrating Spirituality and Organizational Leadership)Asia. He is also a recipient of Shiksha Rattan Puraskar in 2013 for academic excellence awarded by India International Friendship Society, New Delhi.
Mr. G Sundar is Director at PharmaQA Compliance Services, Chennai. Mr. Sundar developed his profile as a Quality practitioner with 27 years of rich experience in the field of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Bioequivalence, and Pharmaceutical Regulations and Registrations. Mr. Sundar obtained his MSc Chemistry from Annamalai University Tamilnadu and BSc Chemistry @ Loyola (Autonomous) College Chennai.
Mr. Sundar worked with Leading National and International companies in the areas of Pharmaceutical Quality Management Systems as per cGMP, GLP, GCP, and as per Regulatory agencies like EMA, USFDA, MHRA and MCC, TGA, ANVISA, Japan; WHO Geneva and PIC(S) guidelines.
Mr. Sundar has a rich background in regulatory guidelines for ANDA; DMF, QbD; CTD Documents (ICH M 4 Q), and BA/BE studies. He has handled regulatory audits and compliance with various regulatory audits like USFDA, UK-MHRA, WHO Geneva, DCGI-INDIA, TGA, and EU; PIC (s) state Authorities and prepared documents for compliance. He has successfully published articles in the Society of quality assurance (SQA), USA, and national and international conferences. Mr. Sundar has more than 22 publications to his credit.
He has conducted about 500 trainings and is a specialist auditor for cGMP (both API and Formulations)/Clinical studies, GCP and BA/BE studies, and GLP studies.
Mr. Sundar is serving as a consultant for more than 35 clients from all Leading MNC and National Pharmaceuticals. He secured appreciation for "cGMP on Data Integrity and Compliance solutions” at the 12th Annual Meet -INDIA-AFRO-ASIA Pharma Business Meet held in September 2016, organized by Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India, Pharmexcil, A Govt of India programme.
Dr Raveendra Pai is the Vice president – Formulation Development, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals R&D Ltd, Mumbai. Dr Pai has 20 years of rich experience in Pharma Industries of High repute. He has experience in product development across various dosages. He has a vast experience in meeting the requirements of global health authorities. He has successfully handled several international regulatory audits, and he has several patents to his credit. He has published several papers in journals of high repute and is a reviewer of various high-impact journals. Dr Pai was awarded with the ‘Rising Star of Year’ by the FDD conclave in the year 2018.
Mr Mahendra Joshi is the Co-founder and Director of IDRS Labs Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru. He has about 17 years of total experience in Pharma Industries of High repute. Mr Joshi has published several papers in journals of high repute and has presented papers in national and international conferences. He has several patents to his credit. He is the recipient of the BMS Crystal Award for outstanding technical leadership. He is the winner of Indian Leadership Award for Industrial Development for the year 2014, awarded by AIAF, New Delhi, India.
