I am extremely delighted to learn that the first-ever digital museum on pharmaceutical quality, “Manipal CGMP Museum,” dedicated to Dr. T.M.A. Pai (Padmashree award), Founder & Architect of modern Manipal, is being established by the Centre for current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal.
Universally to date, it is normal to have model museums across pharmaceutical institutions showcasing various types of dosage forms and antiques. We at the Pharmacy Council of India believe in innovation. We are delighted that the world’s first digital CGMP museum will be established at MAHE, accorded with the status ‘Institution of Eminence’ by the Government of India. Quality and CGMP are like two sides of the same coin and form the backbone of any pharmaceutical industry. Thus, “Manipal CGMP Museum” is a good collection of real-life quality issues collected over many years. I wish that the Centre for CGMP should remain committed to the same level of efforts to add more novel real-life cases in the years to come. This effort shall benefit all professionals in the pharmaceutical sector.
Once again, my best wishes to the Coordinator of the Centre for CGMP, Dr. Girish Pai Kulyadi, and his team for conceptualizing this unique museum and making a meaningful contribution to the pharmacy field.
